just wanted to say that the color “gray” is spelled with an “a” and the dog “greyhound” or “grey” is spelled with an “e”.

perhaps they were reacting to the poor spelling ;^)

The difference is entirely cultural. Grey is the original English spelling of the color. At some point the Americans decided to change it up. Each has exactly the same meaning and both are acceptable. I had to do some research for my site… http://www.middle-grey.com

No, the spelling is correct. In the US the word is occasionally spelled “gray”, but “grey” is the standard spelling.

The artist lives and works in the UK, therefore the spelling ‘grey’ is correct, acceptable and to be expected. But the second one should be two sentences rather than a comma splice.
