Ton Guglya stake chair

The wood-and-glass Stake Chair by Russian designer Ton Guglya is completely terrifying.  It is based on the medieval torture device called the “Judas Cradle,” which I am sorry I googled (in the words of Perez Hilton, if you are easily offended, then do not click here).  Basically, it does what it looks like it would do.

However, if you like scary designy things, then you might check this guy out.

Er…it turns out that this is really the only scary item in his portfolio.  Some of it is kind of cute, actually - one thing is even shaped like a heart.  Whatever, if you ask me, designing this thing trumps having 50 craps shaped like guns in your oeuvre.  Link!
