Diesel Screamies

I always kind of feel like a sucker when a random company starts slinging housewares and they end up being cool.  Its a little bit like I went to acting school and did years of fruitless auditions and suddenly my younger brother, who, let’s say, is a chef, suddenly lands a part in a Woody Allen movie.* And then wins Best Supporting Actor or something.

That said, I can’t help but dig these lamps that Diesel started hawking in Milan last week:

These are called “Fork,” and according to Dezeen it is an “ironic lamp inspired by a campsite atmosphere. The canvas shade has typical tent stitching, with deliberately visible fabric seams. The base is in dark metal and the diffuser is available in rope and black. The lamp comes in floor and table versions.

Okay, that’s fine, and they were created via Diesel’s collaboration with Moroso, so they know what they’re doing.  But really, don’t they just look like monsters screaming?

In case you don’t see this, allow me to clarify:

See it?  You’re welcome.

*BTW, my younger brother is Scarlett Johannson
